Make This Matter
Then use this space to tantalize & tell a touch more about your headline.
Or don’t.
Flip the script, if you like.
Rather than a tight 3-word headline, craft a lengthy story-style headline that can’t be missed—then go short. Either way. Recognize the rhythmic changes in your opening.
Contrast is your friend, my friend. Light & dark. Fast & slow. In copywriting, contrast and rhythm are tools we use to entice the mind to pay attention. Next to short, tight writing, go a little longer and watch your message get read. Share your curves here, bare your edges, let your reader linger a little within your story.
And by all means—and I mean by all means.
Finish strong. Grab a hold of their heart with your words right here, give em’ something straight from your gut to remember you by. And oh my, yes Ma’am, you’re well on your way to copywriting like a pro.
Guidance is a gamechanger.

What Do You Believe?
I believe we’ll spend our time relaying your beliefs & those of your audience far more than mine—still it’s important you know:
I believe that business is personal & business is people.
I believe music is essential, as are the artists I refer to as MY BOBS: Bob Dylan, Bob Marley and Bob Seger. (’Tis true, no?)
I believe in my marriage and family—and that I found both grit and grace when my daughter was born and inner strength I didn’t know I had when boy/girl twins followed four years later.
I believe in passionate entrepreneurs and business owners who aim to excel both in profit and relationships, and I believe deeply that words are one of your most powerful resources.
“So, what do you write?”
She asked me, an acquaintance made at a social event for a local magazine.
“Feature articles,” I replied, 10 years into my writing career at the time, “magazines, newspapers.” Back in college, while some of my journalism classmates were called to news beats, I was lured by stories, writing about what lingered between the lines and learning to interview while noticing the nuances.
“I’m always looking for good writers,” she continued. “I’m a designer. Can you write marketing copy, web content?”
Now, had it not been circa 2012 when the newspaper industry became unpredictable while shifting to digital, and had I not just spent the afternoon with an editor who was letting all freelancers go, ahem—I might not have spoken this one-word reply that has forever changed my trajectory.
“Perhaps,” I said.
We exchanged business cards, I called her the following Monday—now nearly 10 years later, marketing content and web copy, I most certainly write.
Connect With Expertise
Delving into the world of marketing, branding and business writing, please note: I’m a writer, and research is the very air I breathe.
To study call-to-actions and taglines without digging deeper into the psychology behind buying or the conscious and subconscious effects of precise wording simply would not suit me. Over time, my expertise grew. Web copy and marketing material now grace my portfolio. Assigned topics from lifestyle editors now join content articles for custom publications and evergreen blogs for businesses.
I put my professional blend of writing skills to work for entrepreneurs and small business owners who seek the ripple effect—pebbles in pools & making waves as you reach audiences of humbling magnitude with your message.
Feel These Words
Writing that connects.
Bob Wainwright, another of MY BOBS (and surely the most essential as my dad), an English teacher who ultimately retired president of a nonprofit organization, said to me:
“Business has always been to me like, ‘I need this done. Can you do it?'”
Perhaps. If you sense that the crux of what you need is creative connection, and you’re ready to step into your strengths with an experienced copywriter — one whose specialty is seeing the 15,000-foot level and then diving directly down into your core messaging, website copy, and each beautifully aligned word thereafter — then, yes, I can do it.
